Acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, mitochondrial; EC 2.3.1.9; Acetoacetyl-CoA thiolase; T2
Description:
|IntroductionAcetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, mitochondrial also known as acetoacetyl-CoA thiolase, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ACAT1 (Acetyl-Coenzyme A acetyltransferase 1) gene. This gene encodes a mitochondrially localized enzyme that catalyzes the reversible formation of acetoacetyl-CoA from two molecules of acetyl-CoA. Defects in this gene are associated with 3-ketothiolase deficiency, an inborn error of isoleucine catabolism characterized by urinary excretion of 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyric acid, 2-methylacetoacetic acid, tiglylglycine, and butanone.||ACAT1 Polyclonal AntibodyRabbit Polyclonal Antibody.Specificity/Sensitivity: ACAT1 antibody detects endogenous levels of ACAT1.Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000; ELISA: 1:10000.Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human ACAT1.Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit anti-serum by immunogenic peptide affinity-chromatography.Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
